"Blessed [are] those servants whom the master, when he comes, will find watching. Assuredly, I say to you that he will gird himself and have them sit down [to eat], and will come and serve them." (Luke 12:37 NKJV)

We take our calling seriously to minister to children at the Chapel. Each Sunday morning and Wednesday night we gather for worship and age-appropriate instruction in God's Word. Our goal is simple:

1. To present Christ to our children
2. To prepare our children with His Word

“…and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.” 2 Tim 3:15

We use the Answers in Genesis Answers Bible Curriculum in our Children's Church. It is a full-featured, chronological, 3-year Sunday school program and the curriculum covers Genesis through Revelation.

  • For the teachers, teacher guides are provided which make teaching easy. They include background material, detailed lesson plans, and optional activities. Flipchart page and classroom posters are also available.
  • For the children/parents, weekly take-home sheets reinforce the lesson, plus fun activities and daily Bible readings encourage family discussion

Ephesians 3:17-19 (ESV) "So that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God."

Grounded Forever is for older children (5th grade to 8th grade) and meets on the last Friday of the month for a time of bible study, fellowship, and fun!

The Marriage & Family Ministry at Community Chapel is a ministry designed to come alongside marriages and families in order that they be strengthened and encouraged by the power of God's Holy Word. Our desire is to aid families in their endeavor to represent the Lord Jesus Christ properly in the marriage relationship as well as in the parenting of their children. We believe the Bible has everything necessary for 'life and godliness', and encourage families to take heed to all that it teaches. When each member is seeking the heart and mind of Christ as they should, the result is faithful, selfless obedience to God's Word, bringing peace & harmony to every relationship in the family unit. As Pastor Rit began to minister, it became apparent to him that the church today was not man friendly - meaning that the church was taking on the same egalitarian attitude as the world and devaluing the male leadership model. The purpose of the Men's Ministry is to empower men to men and to accept the responsibility to lead at home as well as in the church. This is the focus of the Men's Ministry - to study and know the Word of God and to accept and apply the biblical leadership mandate in the lives of men.

The Men's Ministry gathers every Saturday morning at 7:00 am in the Fellowship Hall for worship, prayer and bible study. Young men sixth grade and up are also encouraged to attend. The Men's Ministry also holds other events and retreats throughout the year.

You bring your Bibles and we'll bring the coffee!

The mission of the Nursery and Toddler Ministry of Community Chapel of Greenville is to serve the body of Christ by providing for the spiritual, physical and mental well-being of the families of our fellowship with small children. This is accomplished by loving and caring for children from newly born to around 36 months of age during times of worship and teaching so that parents, grandparents and guardians can focus on God during those times. We strive to do this in such an excellent manor that the adult members of the families are free to worship and learn so that they will be equipped to rear their children in the fear of the Lord.

What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? - James 2:14

We can be full of biblical knowledge, but our faith comes alive when we exercise it! While works can't save, a saved individual will be working in the kingdom of God. Below are outreach ministries that members of CC Greenville are involved with. These ministries are not organized/run by CC Greenville nor does CC Greenville have any oversight of them, but we fully support the missions of each ministry.

BGEA Rapid Repoonse Team   From the ashes of 9/11, the Rapid Response Team ministry was developed to share Christ in the midst of crisis and disasters. BGEA currently has chaplains in the United States, Australia, Canada and the United Kingdom. These volunteer chaplains are carefully selected and trained to demonstrate the compassion of Jesus Christ and appropriately share God’s hope through the One who “heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds” (Psalm 147:3).   This email address is being protected from spambots. Evangelism
- Way of the Master
The Way of the Master is non-denominational. We believe and preach that the Bible is the Word of God, and that Jesus Christ is God manifest in the flesh, crucified for the sin of the world, and that He rose again on the third day. We believe and teach that salvation is by grace, through faith, and not of works.   This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Gideons International   The Gideons International is an Association of Christian business and professional men and their wives dedicated to telling people about Jesus through associating together for service, sharing personal testimony, and by providing Bibles and New Testaments. While we are often recognized for our work with hotels, we also place and distribute Scriptures in strategic locations so they are available to those who want them, as well as to those who may not know they need them.   Ed Fridal

Miracle Hill Ministries   In 1937, Miracle Hill Ministries began as a soup kitchen and small rescue mission in downtown Greenville. Since then, we have grown with the Upstate — expanding to meet the changing and diverse needs of homeless, hungry and destitute people. With your help we have become the largest and most comprehensive provider of shelter and food to homeless children, women and men in Upstate South Carolina.   This email address is being protected from spambots.   Love Life is a national pro-life organization with a local presence in Greenville that seeks to get the Church more involved in the hands and feet of Jesus at the Greenville abortion mill.
Greenville for Life
is a Protestant Pro-Life group. We seek to speak for the unborn and minister with love, in the name of Christ, to everyone who turns into the entrance of Greenville Women’s Clinic. We hope to encourage and equip everyone who wants to STAND for LIFE in Greenville, SC.
40 Days for Life is an international community-based campaign that takes a determined, peaceful approach to showing local communities the consequences of abortion in their own neighborhoods, for their own friends and families. It puts into action a desire to cooperate with God in the carrying out of His plan for the end of abortion. It draws attention to the evil of abortion through the use of a three-point program: Prayer and fasting; Constant vigil; Community outreach.
Sidewalk Advocates for Life provides traning to those interested in sidewalk advocacy. It teaches a peaceful, prayerful, law-abiding approach.
Life Chain is a peaceful and prayerful public witness of pro-life individuals standing for 90 minutes praying for our nation and for an end to abortion. It is a visual statement of solidarity by the Christian community that abortion kills children and that the Church supports the sanctity of human life from the moment of conception until natural death.

Senior adults are a precious treasure at The Chapel! The Senior Saints Ministry is for adults 50 and over and meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday's of each month in the Fellowship Hall at 6:30 pm. This is an opportunity for an in-depth conversation with regard to the current teaching series; and practical ways on how to flesh out what we have learned through various community outreach activities. Of course, fellowship with food will be in the offering while we get to know each other a little better.

Ushering is a lot more than showing someone to their seat, Ushering is a ministry. We are called to be servants to the Body and strive to have, or build men who are willing to grow in that service. Ushering is an intentional and active service, not simply a person who occupies a space during a service. We want to be more than chair police, that's the easy part. We want to engage, encourage, and edify.

The ladies Ministry at The Chapel is dedicated to helping women grow in their knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ and submit to His Lordship in their lives. This ministry is in complete submission to and under the authority of the officers of the Chapel, all men of faith looking out for the best interest of the church. We believe women have a special place in the church to minister to other women of all ages.

Our goal is to encourage women to have personal quiet time with the Lord Jesus on a daily basis, in order to grow strong in word and deed. Our desire is to mutually edify and encourage one another in our most holy faith, as we seek to do His will while sojourning here.

"Let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much more as you see the Day approaching." Heb. 10:23-24

This ministry also provides meals and physical help for those in the body who need assistance during an illness, child birth, or hospitalization. We believe the Bible teaches us to come alongside those who are in need, that the name of the Lord Jesus be glorified by our love, practically lived out, as we compassionately serve others.

What is Biblical worship? And how does CCG do worship?Colossians 3:16 Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God.

We are all humbly grateful for the opportunity we have, as musicians, to serve the body of Christ with our instruments and our voices. We pray that you have a very intimate time with the Lord as you worship with us in song.

Music is a tool which God has given us to worship Him, however we in the worship ministry realize that we are to worship God in all that we do as instructed by the apostle Paul in Romans 12:1. He writes, I urge you therefore brethren by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.”(NASB)

Therefore, the Worship Ministry of CC Greenville exists to serve the body of Christ by bringing our instruments, voices, and ourselves into the sanctuary of God in order to provide an atmosphere in which the children of God can come before our Savior and King Jesus Christ to bring a sacrifice of praise and worship in prayer, songs, hymns, and spiritual songs. As we sing songs of praise and worship to the Lord we are reminded of all that He has done and what our lives are to be before Him.

The book of Psalms gives us much instruction and example of how we should praise the Lord. In corporate worship, we should all be of one mind and one heart, worshipping in unity. We encourage the congregation to clap your hands and give the Lord acclamations of praise when appropriate for He is great! (Psalm 47:1) We also believe it to be acceptable, yes desirable, to lift hands to the Lord in surrender and reverent adoration (Psalm 134:2). No act of worship should ever draw attention to one
self, or distract the congregation from the object of our praise, He being our Great God and Savior Jesus Christ. Give unto the Lord the Glory that is due His name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness. (Psalm 27:20/NKJV)

The gifts of the Spirit are to be exercised in complete order as Paul has instructed in I Corinthians 12. The Holy Spirit is a gentleman and never draws attention to Himself, but always directs us to the Son of God, Jesus Christ.

The worship of God through music is a wonderful gift we have been given, but is never to take the place of or over shadow the teaching of God’s Word. The musical part of our worship service is to be an opportunity for us to enter into the presence of God as He prepares our hearts to receive His word.

Psalm 147:1 Praise the Lord! For it is good to sing praises to our God; for it is pleasant and praise is becoming. (NASB)
