Nadab and Abihu "offered profane fire before the LORD" and "fire went out from the LORD and devoured them". While we enjoy the doctrine of Mercy - not getting what we deserve - we still need to ensure that we do not offer "profane fire" in the choices we make in life. In 1 Corinthians 3:16-17 (NKJV), the Apostle Paul tells us "Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are." We are living temples of God because His Spirit dwells in us - may we keep His temple pure and holy by the choices we make!

Pastor Rit shared that the word for 2019 is UNCOMPROMISING. The Church at Pergamos was compromised. Even though they proclaimed the name of Jesus and had some wonderful and faithful servants, like Antipas, they were compromised with worldly lusts and sexual immorality. Jesus calls them to repent or He will judge them. Let us look at our own lives and see if there is anything we need to repent of and eliminate from our lives!

It is a wonderful thing to know that if we repent God will forgive us! Leviticus 5 and 6 continue to describe how Israel was to approach God for the forgiveness of sin. Aren't we fortunate that Jesus Christ has fulfilled the Law and we only need to repent, turn and believe in Him as our Lord and Savior!!!
