After prayer, research, and discussion, the Board of Community Chapel of Greenville has decided, effective immediately, that masks will be optional for all services, studies, and activities at Community Chapel of Greenville. We ask those not wearing a mask to be considerate of those wearing masks.
We will continue to place a TV outside under the pavilion for those desiring maximum social distancing, but we encourage everyone to join us in the sanctuary so that we can worship our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ together!
Also effective immediately, the Men’s Bible Study & Women’s Bible Study will no longer be Zoom’d. The Men’s Bible Study will move to the sanctuary for better social distancing.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact any of the leadership.
Blessings in Christ Jesus our Lord!
The Board of Community Chapel of Greenville

Seeing that we currently live in a hot-spot of COVID-19 infection, starting with our June 28th service Community Chapel of Greenville is requiring that you wear a mask when attending Chapel services and activities. Masks are to be worn at all times while in the building, on the back deck, or under the pavilion. Please bring your mask for you and your children.
It has also been brought to our attention that the designated COVID-19 hospital in the Greenville area (North Greenville Hospital) is full. Greenville County has the highest number of infections and deaths in the state and we rank 10th in the state for infections per 100k (SCDHEC.gov). For this season we need to take these additional precautions.
"For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." (2 Timothy 1:7) ... and it's with a sound mind that at this time we believe wearing masks is prudent!
Join us THIS coming Sunday (June 28th) back at the Chapel!!! If you remember before we had to take our break, the sanctuary is setup with rows spaced 6 feet a part, so it is easy to practice social distancing!
Join us out back after service as we celebrate our return with ice cream!
It was statistically inevitable, that at some point, somebody in the Chapel Family would test positive for the Coronavirus. Pastor Darren tested positive today… Please pray for Darren and Cristy, Kara and Matthias.
The responsible action going forward would be to discontinue our current schedule of meetings at the Chapel. Therefore, ALL Services and in-person ministerial gatherings are suspended until June 28th. We will however, still have our Monday Evening Prayer Line in place, and any additional pertinent information will be broadcasted via Realm.
Any potential exposure is already 5 days past so for those of us in close contact or for anyone with concerns be mindful that the recommended 14 days of self-quarantine is already 1/3 of the way complete.
Our Sunday and Wednesday evening services will be live streamed so we can continue to stay focused on His Word and the truth that lies therein during such amazing times.
Children that come Sunday mornings with their parents will join Mr. Anthony upstairs for the 4Cs service after worship. Tables have been spaced to ensure appropriate social distancing. The 4Cs service will also be Zoomed at 10:45 AM (the link will be posted on Realm prior to service).
SC Statewide Day of Prayer: Gov. Henry McMaster announced Friday that he declares Sunday, May 3rd, as a day of prayer across South Carolina. “I think, and I know others agree as well, that it’s time that we pause, we thank God for where we are, for our lives in South Carolina,” said McMaster. We ask that you join us in maintaining a prayerful attitude all day today - to thank God for His provision during the COVID-19 crisis; to pray for wisdom for our leaders (national, state, local, and domestic); and to pray that the hearts of many would be turned to Him!
April 25th Update
Services are now open! We have decided to open our services to the Body. If you feel that you are ready to return, please make sure you practice safe social distancing. For now, ALL services will be family services, so your children are welcome to attend with you. BUT there will not be any 4Cs Children’s Church nor any nursery/toddler childcare.
Starting next Sunday, May 3rd, our Sunday morning service will return to its normal 10 AM time.
Please keep an eye on our website / Realm for updates.
"Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." ~John 14:27
March 17th Update
To our treasured congregation,
It goes without saying that the Coronavirus (COVID-19) has disrupted life for us all in one way or another. We continue to seek the Lord for wisdom Colossians 1:9 and ways we can continue to minister in His Name for His glory.
Romans 13:1-4 admonishes us to submit ourselves to the governing authorities over us. Therefore, in order to comply with local, state, and federal requests we will be making the following changes at the Chapel until the end of March. These requirements are for two major purposes - first to defeat this silent enemy as quickly as possible by reducing the spread; and to attempt not to overwhelm our health systems with new infections, which the Corona virus could quickly do.
Starting THIS Wednesday, March 18th and through at least the end of March, all services will only be broadcasted live on the Internet (via live.CCGreenville.org or our Facebook Page). Additionally, we will be changing the start time of our Sunday morning services to 9 AM to avoid possible Internet congestion from the many churches broadcasting at the 10 AM hour.
Please do not attempt to come to the Chapel for services as only authorized individuals will be allowed in the building.
All other ministries of the Chapel are canceled until further notice.
If any of you have a need or a concern, please contact me or one of the pastors. We want to continue to minister to your needs.
In His Service to His Church
March 14th Update
The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is impacting our world. And while we have not heard of any confirmed cases here in the Greenville, SC area, The Chapel wants to keep you updated and informed on what we are doing in response to COVID-19.
You can keep uptodate on COVID-19 by visiting the CDC website.
At this time, our regular Sunday and Wednesday services have NOT been canceled. Other ministry meetings will be up to the discretion of the ministry leader, so please pay attention to announcements in Realm, emails, and texts.
We have decided to go ahead and cancel our 2020 Seder Meal on April 10th. Refunds will be made shortly.
In order to keep you all safe and reduce your concerns:
- Our facility is cleaned on Saturdays and on Sundays after services. Special attention is being paid to door handles and knobs, stair railings, and bathrooms.
- The nursery and toddler room and 4Cs classrooms will be deep cleaned prior to services.
- We ask that anyone who is sick to please stay home.
- Wash your hands with soap & warm water frequently.
Our services are lived streamed and recorded, so if you feel the need to remain home please join us online at live.ccgreenville.org and on the Community Chapel of Greenville Facebook Page. Your tithes and gifts can be made online as well.
While we ought to have a concern and make prudent choices over COVID-19, we should not be afraid! Let's take our concerns to the Lord in prayer!
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. ~2 Timothy 1:7
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. ~Philippians 4:6
